The second-day workshop was mainly focused on targeted advertising as a starting point to explore possible amendments to the Taiwanese Personal Data Protection Law. As a first speaker, Hongki delivered the South Korean case whereby the Personal Data Protecting Committee (PDPC) fined Google and Meta for collecting off-site data without explicit consent. KS introduced the concept of the Personal Data Protection Act involved in targeted advertising. Prof. Su Hui-chieh from National Taiwan University also participated in the workshop alongside Hongki and KS. Hui-chieh expanded the Taiwan Personal Data Protection Act and what aspects and details of the Taiwanese Personal Data Protection Act should be revised and aware. TAHR also organized a closed group discussion with the audience which helped them to understand the issue further after the speech.
