Women on Web, which has been distributing abortion pills to women in each country who want to have an abortion, has had its website blocked in South Korea on the grounds that it distributes “illegal information.” Women on Web has filed a lawsuit against the Korea Communications Standards Commission, which blocked its website and is currently in the process of appealing the decision after losing in the first trial.

In relation to this, on November 9, the UC Irvine School of Law’s International Law Clinic, Korea University School of Law’s International Human Rights Clinic, and OpenNet jointly held a webinar on the Women on Web lawsuit.
